10 Tangible Steps to Make What You Want a Reality in 2025 and Beyond - A Manifestation Checklist
It was the 1930s. My grandmother Claire Fortin was the youngest of twelve and needed to get a job to help support the family after she graduated from eighth grade. “When my mother set my mind to something, it was done,” my own mother shared with me. Claire decided she was going to work at the textile mill near her home in Lowell, Massachusetts. So, she dressed in her finest shift dress and heels, walked half a mile, and presented herself to the supervisor there. “I need a job,” she told him. The supervisor responded that they were not hiring. “Well, I’ll be back tomorrow then,” she said. “You don’t have to come back - we’re not hiring,” the supervisor replied. And before she left, she said, “That’s okay, I’ll come back tomorrow.”
Every single day for 30 days my grandmother returned to the textile mill in her dress and heels and had the same exact conversation with that supervisor. Until the one day when he gave her the job.
You might think that’s just a story about someone who was determined - which my grandmother was - but it’s more than that; it’s an example of manifestation at its finest. It exemplifies the key components needed to manifest someone, something, or some experience into your life. Some of these key factors that my grandmother exhibited was that, first, she decided the job was hers, then she acted as if she already had it by dressing the part, she took consistent inspired action, she persevered over time, and she believed that the job was hers even when the world told her otherwise. But there’s a bit more to manifestation than that, which you can learn more about in my recent L3 Philosophy™ video.
I was first introduced to the concept of manifestation many years ago through a book called Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. As I read it, it felt like this deeper - MUCH deeper - curiosity about life and how it works became unlocked. I couldn’t wait to get home from work each day and read more.
The more I learned about how people from all walks of life and even in different time periods were using these manifestation techniques to become super successful, or have a huge impact on their communities and society, truly made my eyes open wider. I felt like a kid seeing something amazing for the first time, thinking “Wait, you can actually DO THAT?!”
I started reading more books one after the other that talked about related topics having to do with energy, law of attraction, and spiritual alchemy to try and put all the puzzle pieces together. I started with The Biology of Belief by biologist and epigenetics expert Bruce Lipton, and years later Becoming Supernatural by Dr. Joe Dispenza. I read both modern and old books like You Are a Badass by Jen Sincero, The Alchemist by Paulo Coelho, and The Game of Life and How to Play It by Florence Scovel Shinn. All of these books have different flavors in their style, but I was inspired in new ways from each one.
Around that same time, I found myself bingeing on a YouTube channel that featured interviews highlighting very successful and driven people’s stories. I was so fascinated by the fact that most of the guests’ stories started with how they were at very low or challenging points in their lives, some of them at their lowest, but they had an idea…and they believed they could make that idea a reality. Most of them didn’t know how they were going to do it, but eventually they did, and in even greater proportions than they could have ever imagined.
I realized some commonalities among them, which were:
They all had a greater purpose bigger than themselves in what they were creating
They were all obsessed with making their vision a reality
They all understood the power of the mind, intention, and focus
They were all using the pillars of manifestation, or some form of it
Many of the principles and practices of manifestation have been used for centuries and originate from ancient times. There’s a common misconception that manifesting is “woo woo” or “magic” - But there are numerous scientific studies and full books written on these topics, like the ones I’ve mentioned and many more, that demonstrate that we as humans, and all other living things, are energetic beings. And we have a lot more power over our minds, our bodies, and our whole lives than most of us are aware or even dare to harness.
If you’re wondering, “Does manifesting really work? Or is this just something everyone talks about on social media and is a gimmick?” I can tell you that I’ve personally used manifestation to attract what I want into my life numerous times. I still use these techniques today and continue to develop my understanding of them.
These steps are not necessarily easy, because most of the time what we want requires some kind of personal transformation. But the steps are straightforward - you can follow them to make something you truly want become a reality. I’ve put these techniques (and the order in which they should be followed) into a 10-Step Manifestation Checklist that I now follow in my own life and share with the people I work with.
In your Transformation Action Plan for this week, I explain each step of my Manifestation Checklist, which includes a downloadable checklist of 10-steps to manifest what you want in 2025 and for the rest of your life:
